Official Criteria & Guidelines for Firms, Consultants, and Surveyors

Firm / Company Registration

Company Documents Registration Certificates from SECP / DC Office / Industry Department. CNIC of CEO.
Technical Capability
  • Qualified Geologist: BS Geology (5 Yrs Exp.)
  • Mining Engineer: PEC Registered, BS Mining Eng. (5 Yrs Exp.)
  • Environmental Expert: BS Environmental Sciences/Engineering
  • Surveyor: Degree/Diploma in Survey (3 Yrs Exp.)
Experience 5 Years Required
Purpose & Scope Conduct Geological Surveys, prepare geological & progress reports, prepare plans/maps, demarcate area, issue demarcation certificates, and related activities.
Reg. Period 5 Years
Registration Fee Rs. 50,000
Renewal Period 5 Years
Renewal Fee Rs. 10,000

Misconduct & Negligence

Authority may accept/reject applications. Misconduct results in a fine of Rs. 10,000 and possible cancellation after hearing.

Geologists & Consultants

Qualification Qualified Geologist or Consultant Mining Engineer (16 Years Education in Geology/Mining/Earth Sciences from a recognized university. Mining Engineers must be PEC registered).
Experience 5 Years Required
Purpose & Scope Conduct Geological Surveys, prepare geological reports, progress reports, prepare plan maps, and other related activities.
Reg. Period 5 Years
Registration Fee Rs. 50,000
Renewal Period 5 Years
Renewal Fee Rs. 10,000

Surveyors Registration

Qualification Degree or Diploma in Surveying
Experience 3 Years Required
Purpose & Scope Carry out boundary demarcation, prepare boundary demarcation certificates, conduct underground and surface surveys, prepare plans, maps, and other related activities.
Reg. Period 5 Years
Registration Fee Rs. 5,000
